You got yourself a brand new SEG graphics from BFF and now you want to put it to use. Installing SEG graphics is simple when you follow the right steps. SEG, or Silicone Edge Graphics, use a silicone strip stitched around the edge of a fabric print. This strip fits into a narrow channel inside an aluminum frame, creating a smooth and seamless display. Whether you are working in retail, a trade show booth, a museum, or an interior branding project, this guide walks you through the full installation process.
Before placing the graphic, make sure the SEG frame is assembled, level, and securely mounted or freestanding. Check that all connectors and corners are locked in place and that the channel is clean and free of debris. If you are using an LED lightbox, test the lights before installing the print so you know everything is functioning correctly.
Find the four corners of the SEG graphic. Each corner has a silicone tab that helps align the print with the frame.
Press one corner into the matching corner of the frame, then do the same for the other three. Make sure each corner is fully seated to avoid wrinkles.
Move to the center of each side and press the silicone edge into the channel. Starting from the center keeps the fabric tight and even.
Press the silicone strip into the frame from the center toward each corner. If a wrinkle appears, lift and re-seat the fabric until it lies smooth.
Step back and look for loose areas or waves. Run your hand along the edges to confirm the silicone is fully inserted and the print is tight.
Turn on the LEDs and check the lighting. If you see dark spots or uneven glow, lightly adjust or re-seat the fabric until the illumination is even.
SEG displays are popular because they combine simple installation with a premium appearance. The silicone edge makes changing graphics quick, and the fabric remains smooth even after repeated use. For teams working with seasonal visuals or rotating campaigns, SEG offers a clean and practical solution that saves time and improves presentation quality.
